I am SO excited!!!! On March 18, 2007, Elisabeth von Trapp will be doing a concert here in Nashville, Tennessee, where I live!!!! The date's actually been on the tour schedule on her website since August, and I emailed her immediately when I noticed it. But now that we're less than a month away from the date, I am starting to really get excited!
The concert is going to be at St. George's Episcopal Church at 4715 Harding Road in Nashville at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 18, 2007. Tickets are $15 each, and when I called the church for information, I was given an address to send a check to for tickets. That address is Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee, 50 Vantage Way, Suite 107, Nashville, TN 37228. Send a check to pay for however many tickets you want, a self-addressed stamped envelope, and include a note that you're ordering tickets for Elisabeth von Trapp's concert. I didn't think to ask if tickets would be available at the door, but I would think so. Debra Waters, the woman at St. George's that I talked with last week, told me their facility seats over 800 people. Seating is general admission, no assigned seats. The church phone number is 615-385-2150 and the website is www.stgeorgenash.org. This concert is a benefit for some kind of mission in Uganda, but I don't remember the details. Last time I looked, the church's website didn't have any information on the concert, but that might have changed by now.
If any of you on here are within an easy driving distance of Nashville, PLEASE try to come!!!!! I think it would be WONDERFUL if a huge bunch of Sound of Music fans showed up for this! Wouldn't that surprise Elisabeth? She and her husband Ed Hall were absolutely wonderful to my mom and me when we went to Vermont in 2004, and I can't wait to see them here next month! Is anybody on here close enough to come, too?
